About Shelby Bryan

1424199725_JSB3An entrepreneur and a telecommunications pioneer, Shelby Bryan assumed leadership of ICG Communication as CEO in 1995, at which time the company was experiencing severe financial difficulties. Through the implementation of such strategies as a change in management and an infusion of new investment capital from the likes of Morgan Stanley, he increased ICG’s revenue by 75 percent within a year. After four years as CEO, Shelby Bryan succeeded in multiplying the company’s capital tenfold and growing the workforce from 125 to 3,500.

After leaving ICG, Shelby Bryan founded the United States’ first VOIP company, Pingtone Communications. There, he continues to draw on experience gained from his more than four-decade career, over the course of which he has cofounded several companies in such sectors as insurance, software development, and web development.

Outside of his business leadership, Mr. Bryan enjoys traveling and has visited a number a destinations around the world, including in Europe. There, he has taken in ballet and opera performances at events like the Bayreuth Festival, held each year in Germany.
